Friendships and Memories That Will Last A Lifetime

The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings are seeking host families for their players for the 2010 season.

Host families not only get the opportunity to bond with professional baseball players on a personal level, but two season tickets and a parking pass for each player they sponsor. The players get to save a little money and the opportunity to have a sense of normalcy in a family atmosphere while living in a new city.

“This is a great way for members of the community to create memories that will last a lifetime. Usually, the player will become an extended part of the family. The bonds created over the summer last well beyond baseball season,” WhiteWings General Manager Cory Dirksen said.

Host families must provide lodging and a location where the player can safely park his car. They are not required to provide transportation, food or access to a phone.
